Drug pusher falls in Zamboanga

THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has arrested a suspected big-time drug pusher and seized P500,000 in a drug bust in front of an eatery across the Zamboanga City Hall.

PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio identified the arrested suspect as Alman Aju, alias Alden, 26, a resident of Pag-asinan, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.

Aspacio said Aju was nabbed in a drug bust around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, along N. S. Valderosa Street, Zamboanga City.

He said the arresting team confiscated from Aju 100 grams of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) packed in two plastic sachets and worth P500,000, and P1,000 that was placed on top of neatly-cut papers.

Aspacio said the suspect will be charged with violation of Section 5 (selling of illegal drugs) of Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Philippines)
