TOURISM enterprise, business risk management and the Dutertenomics will be among the main topics to be tackled when the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Tacloban-Leyte Inc. hosts the Eastern Visayas Regional Business Conference in July.
Wilson Uy, of PCCI Tacloban Leyte Inc., said this year’s business conference aims to encourage the business sector in the region to invest in sustainability and improvements among their businesses, thereby achieve competitive growth.
“We have invited guests who are applying these practices in their businesses and are a success in their own rights,” Uy said.
Among the speakers during the conference is Amor Maclang, globally award-winning brand architect from Geiser Maclang Consulting Agency, who will talk on strong cooperative entrepreneurship and growing family-owned enterprise.
Albay second district Representative Joey Salceda will explain about the national landscape of the “Dutertenomics.”
“Dutertenomics” is a recently coined term to describe President Rodrigo Duterte’s economic policies. The term is associated with programs and policies to achieve “the golden age of infrastructure.”
The business conference will also endeavor to bridge local concerns and bring this to the national level for immediate action.
For this, local government units in the region, particularly the local chief executives are encouraged to join the conference in order to better understand the business system and climate in the region.
Other topics such as agriculture and fishing, e-commerce and the digital transformation, growth level financing among entrepreneurs and the power sector in the region will also be tackled.
The conference is expected to be attended by more or less 300 businessmen, representatives and other stakeholders. (PNA)
