CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- A total of 63 sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or "shabu" were confiscated by local authorities here in a series of anti-illegal drug operations conducted in different barangays recently.
Police Chief Superintendent Jean Fajardo said the drugs were seized from nine personalities who were simultaneously arrested during the operations.
In Barangay Saguin, two suspects identified as Jayson Quicho and Yna Kryztelle Tenorio were nabbed for drug peddling. Nine sachets of shabu were confiscated from their possession.
Some 28 sachets of shabu were also seized from Rachelle and Charlie Castro after they were nabbed in a separate police operation conducted in Barangay Bulaon.
Another drug personality identified as Christopher Tiqui was also arrested while carrying 12 sachets of illegal drugs in a drug bust implemented in San Isidro.
Three suspects named Careal Cabreza, Amado Miralles and John Gadua were held after possessing 14 sachets of shabu in Lourdes drug bust.
Fajardo said the drug personalities are believed to be part of a group that supplies illegal drugs in different villages, particularly in Northville and San Isidro.
She said the policemen will continue to hunt and apprehend all suspected drug users and pushers in the city, both small time and notorious.
The arrested suspects are now facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act.
