CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The biggest homegrown music festival outside of Metro Manila has never failed to attract throngs of young music lovers and sound enthusiasts as it made the rounds of SM City San Fernando Downtown and SM City Pampanga over the weekend attracting thousands.
The simple experiment to bring the best in contemporary music together started in 2014. Due to its obvious success and the unbelievable line up last year, there was a sudden demand to have another version of the event this year which SM City Pampanga organizers said would be a yearly thing as long as people would clamor for it.
Crowds of "Generation Y" trooped to the said malls for a night of party and dancing. The Amphitheatre of SM City Pampanga was rocked by performances of Ely Buendia, Parokya Ni Edgar, South Border, Rivermaya and True Faith which delighted sound trippers. Spectators came from as far as Metro Manila.
SM City Public Relations Officer Rain Cervantes said the event aims to highlight the mall’s summer celebration with a perfect gathering of the best bands and performers that the young generation, and even the not-so-young, can easily identify with.
"What’s best way to beat the summer heat but in afternoon of music and youthful fun," Cervantes said as she joined the Generation Y in a myriad of dancing and partying.
