MEGASTAR Sharon Cuneta dismissed rumors of marital problems with husband, Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan.

A few weeks ago, an edited photo of Pangilinan with fellow Senator Risa Hontiveros surfaced on social media. Netizens speculated that the said photo, where Pangilinan supposedly held hands with Hontiveros, pushed the singer/actress to leave the country to take a short break from show business.

In a lengthy Facebook post on Sunday, May 14, the seasoned actress clarified that her departure from the country has nothing to do with the photoshopped images.

She also slammed reports of a third party in her marriage.

"There is no truth to rumors going around that Kiko and Sen. Risa Hontiveros are having an affair (or held hands). Some people are evil. They have nothing better to do than ruin people's lives. Wala bang mas matalino or mas challenging na paraan na hindi naman naka-iinsulto sa utak ng karamihan kung maninira ka rin lang ng kapwa?" Cuneta wrote.

She added: "If I am indeed going through anything now, it does not involve a third party."

The "Voice of the Philippines" judge also said that she kept her silence because she was raised by her late mother, Elaine Cuneta, that way, but she's not ignoring the rumors now.

"Ang pagpapalaki ng Mommy ko sa amin ay ang huwag pag-usapan sa publiko and dapat ay pribado at personal. Do not even think about putting one over me. I shall never allow it again."

Cuneta then explained that she left the country because she wanted to rest her "mind, body, heart and soul" and take some time off from all the stress.

She said she was deeply affected by the passing of two people close to her, the sickness of a family member and the re-scheduling of the shooting for her upcoming Star Cinema project.

The actress even revealed she's going through financial troubles.

"I owe so much money (on very good investments not stupid stuff) and I have no one in the world to help me. I am probably the poorest, most cash-strapped billionaire you know."

"Being somewhere else let's you see things from a whole different perspective. Can't be effective as a mother, wife, sister, aunt, co-worker, friend, etc if you yourself are lost and need to breathe. Siguro naman may karapatan din ako malungkot at mapagod?"

Cuneta seemed frustrated with how she's treated by some and said that by now she should be living off the fruits of her labor but instead, she's still working like a horse.

The Kapamilya star said she's tired inside and out.

"I am tired of being all things to all people, and I realize no one has really done or been the same for me. I think there are only a few of us who are like that. Ako si "give," lahat sila halos si "take."

"I have been taken advantage of, used, abused, pushed to my limits that they should thank God that I am a Christian and have been raised well by my parents otherwise my shooting and archery skills would have already been put to good use on them"

She said no one will save her from her troubles but added she was thankful for the constant support of her family, friends and fans.

Cuneta said they push her to continue doing what she love.

"I am tired though I love what I do so much. I have changed inside me. I feel it very much. I still cannot put my finger on it but I now know one thing is that I am no longer taking any b***t from anyone."

In the end, the actress assured everyone that she will be home soon and that she is okay. (SunStar Philippines)
