SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique -- The four minors suspected of robbing a Palarong Pambansa billeting school is now under the Women’s and Children Protection Desk of San Jose Municipal Police Station for proper intervention.
According to the police report, the minors entered the Antique National High School in San Jose and stole some of the belongings of athletes from Western Visayas billeted there.
The suspects were believed to have entered the school premises during the wee hours in the morning of April 19 while everyone was asleep.
Police estimated the stolen items to worth P30,000 mostly shoes and apparels.
Through the intensive effort of the police officers led by Chief of Police Police Superintent Norby Escobar the stolen items were recovered yesterday afternoon.
Escobar said in an interview, “This incident may have put our security preparation for Palarong Pambansa 2017 into test but our investigation and intelligence capability have been proven which was appreciated by the organizers,” he said. (PNA)
