Guimaras Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) met with other local businesses as they joined Iloilo Weekend Tienda on March 10 to 12 at Atria Park District, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Guimaras Wonders Farm, Daday’s Cashew Nuts, Avila Farmers Association, as well as TPAS Agrarian Cooperative linked their products to the said market.
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Guimaras said it is also a venue for fresh market produce to be sold and new products to be introduced in the market.
Total sales generated from the three-day event amounted to P62,355.50, with fresh Guimaras mangoes being the best-seller.
Iloilo Weekend Tienda is one of the strategies to support MSMEs and local farmers in Western Visayas in the upscaling and commercialization of their products and in sustaining their business undertakings.
It is organized by the National Economic Development Administration and Taytay sa Kauswagan Inc. with the assistance from various government agencies.
The event is also supported by other non-government organizations such as Iloilo Business Club, Inc., Iloilo Small and Medium Enterprise Development, and Regional Agricultural and Fisheries Council.
