FOUNDED close to seven decades now, the Ateneo de Davao University(ADDU)-Junior High School (JHS) has successfully etched its name in the global map of excellent educational institutions which have lived up to its commitment as among the premier school in the country and beyond.
ADDU-JHS coordinator for Admission, Aid and Alumni Affairs Office Earl Ian S. Uy said that with the recent positive developments that is happening in Davao City, students, not only in the city and Mindanao, have shown interest to enroll in their school.
Striving to go further, ADDU-JHS has proven itself to be at par with other leading schools in delivering complete package of advance learning by offering state-of-the-art and modern learning facilities and first-rate educational experience for the students to foster relevant information and top-quality programs through a more holistic approach.
Recently, they have concluded their commencement exercise with 455 from the grade 10 moving up o grade 11 wherein an estimated average of 82 percent of students proceeded to senior high school.
Most of their students are coming from Davao City but they also cater to those coming from Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (Armm), Cagayan de Oro and from other places as far as Manila, attributed to the keen interest of the people in the city as the aftermath of President Rodrigo Duterte’s ascent to presidency.
“Everyone is really interested in studying here in Davao City,” he said.
Aside from Filipino students, ADDU-JHS population is also composed of diverse nationals mostly from South Korea and also other Asian countries from Sri Lanka, Japan, China, Middle East, United Stated (US) and Australia.
This reflects the trust and confidence of locals and foreign alike to the outstanding caliber of the school with its competitive curriculum and top notch teachers in their respective fields who exuded their set standards that enable them to meet the high expectation of the public.

Right now, UY said they are gearing towards extensive research, teaching, service and partnerships and accommodation other Asian neighboring countries, but, they are still targeting those Mindanao areas to have a balance of number between Filipino and foreign students.
