FORMER pro Mark Anthony Dy dominated the Cebu Country Club (CCC) 2017 Men’s November Monthly Medal Tournament, winning the Class A title on the club’s layout in Banilad, Cebu City.
One of the club’s PAL Interclub mainstays, Dy, a 5-handicapper, shot one-under par 71 for a net score of 66 to win Class A over 7-handicapper Jufil Sato, who fired five-over par 77 for a net 70.
Frederic Chiongbian scored 72 and beat Harvey Sytiongsa in a countback to take third place honors.
Who else came to the fore?
Masashi Meguro finished with 64 to win Class B, which was for players with 12 to 18 handicaps. Kim Jae Eun and Jack Huang both scored 65; the former placed second while the latter settled for third after the countback.
Gilfer Alvarez reigned in Class C with a score of 64, sneaking past Lorenz Florendo in a countback. Pete Polo finished at third place with 69.
Naotsugu Isobe scored 63 to win Class D, beating Thomas Ware and Ruben Almendras who scored 69 and 72 for second and third places, respectively.
Mamoru Ito finished with 70 to snag the seniors division (55-above) title. Robin Craze nabbed second place with 72 and Ben Dapat finished at third place with 74.
In the ladies’ division, Crystal Faith Neri finished with 78 to prevail over Lee Moon Soon, who had 86.
Meanwhile, Warren Bedell came up with 75 to win the guest division. Hugu Saurat placed second with 82 and Makoto Okuma was third with 88. (RSC)
