Macarine swims from Argao to Bohol

A swarm of jellyfish did not stop hardcore tanker Ingemar Macarine on his quest to swim the waters of Argao, Cebu to Barangay Pantudlan, Cabilao Island, Loon, Bohol last Sunday.

The lawyer from Tubigon, Bohol covered a total distance of 18.15 kilometers in 8 hours and 25 seconds for his third swim in the Cebu Strait and 33rd overall.

“I was thinking of abandoning the swim when I encountered a swarm of nasty jellyfish the first 7K,” said Macarine, whose advocacy is to promote tourism and clean beaches in the country. (RSC)
