Two men nabbed in Toledo for 'buying' marijuana

TWO men were arrested for allegedly buying dried marijuana leaves from a dealer around 11 a.m. Thursday, October 12, in Barangay Bagakay, Toledo City.

Superintendent Anthony Bagarinao, the city police chief, identified the suspects as King Lee Basillote and John Edward Patindol, both age 19.

Seized from Basillote, a resident of Mandaue City, were 17 medium packs. Patindol yielded 14 large packs.

The marijuana leaves weighed 406 grams with an estimated street value of P22,000.

A digital weighing scale and a metal grinder were recovered from the suspects.

Basillote and Patindol were apprehended by the guards of Carmen Copper Corp., after they saw the marijuana leaves inside the suspects' car. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
