4 of 6 Minglanilla 'attempted kidnapping' suspects released

THE Office of the Provincial Prosecutor released Monday, March 20, four of the six persons who allegedly attempted to abduct four pupils of Minglanilla Central School.

The prosecutor, who handled the inquest proceeding, did not find enough evidence to file charges in court against Estela Montes, 50; Marian Serenio, 19; Reymart Abobo, 20; and Federico dela Cruz, 21.

Suspects James Kevie Paradela, 18, and Rheamay Sagmon, 33, will face a attempted kidnapping case.

Paradela allegedly grabbed a 10-year-old girl by her hand, while Sagmon allegedly instructed her to get inside the van.

The fourth grader was able to escape by reportedly biting Paradela's hand. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
