FOR many years, the Cebu City Marriott Hotel has given incentivized birthday fellowships to Lifestyle writers Nelia Neri, Jimmy Picornel, Chinggay Utzurrum, Honey Loop, Flor Ynclino and MCE (then, Mayen Tan and Joe Recio). It has always been so touching because every themed lunch or dinner enhanced a message, like an aspect of arts and culture, music, fashion, food, and the latest, scents and essences held last Thursday, Sept. 7.

NasaDirect from Singapore, a team of charming ladies introduced us to various mixtures of ointments for healthcare. It was interesting because we interactively prepared our mixtures to soothe our muscle pains, veins; created a bacteria-free atmosphere; activated our energy and treated our skin.

General manager Patrick Carroll, and the unbeatable PR and marketing tandem of Francis Alfafara and Ivan Nico Velasquez, organized the pacing of the event replete with a calorie-free lunch. Wow, my University of San Jose-Recoletos-Amparito L. Lhuillier Educational Foundation scholar Nico emceed the event with so much fluency and confidence. You made us proud.

The Cebu City Marriott Hotel set the first business hotel, in the history of Cebu, with a legacy of finest dining and hotel service. It was the venue of many American Chamber and Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Cebu Business Month functions, fashion and glitz events, weddings and conventions and soothing lobby music and garden ambiance.

We will always cherish these memories.
