RITA Ora is no longer in the running to return as host of America’s Next Top Model as it was announced that producer Tyra Banks is returning to the show.
VH1 announced that Banks will return to the reality show next season. Production is set to begin this summer.
Banks created America’s Next Top Model in 2003 and served as both executive producer and host until last year, when Ora was named the new host.
Fellow executive producer Ken Mok said Thursday that Banks’ absence was “deeply felt” by the show’s fans.
Banks said they inspired her to “have a change of heart” and return as host.
Banks is also the new face of America’s Got Talent.
NBC announced earlier this week that she will replace former host Nick Cannon when the show returns this summer.
Meanwhile, Shemar Moore will return to Criminal Minds a year after taking his final bow, E! News reported.
Derek Morgan, Moore’s character, will return for the season finale with a lead on this season’s antagonist, the serial killer Mr. Scratch. His episode will be the season’s finale, and will be aired in May.
Morgan left the Behavioral Analysis Unit to focus on his family. In real life, Moore said he just felt like it was time to “graduate” from the show after 11 seasons.
Last year, lead actor Thomas Gibson also left the show. He was fired after an altercation with a producer. AP with JGA
