CLIMBS Insurance edged out LF Logistics and Toyota Motors in the tiebreaker to clinch the last quarterfinals slot of the 7th Hazard Ballers Association Inter-Company Friendship Cup here.
A three-way logjam ensued among Climbs, LF and Toyota with similar 4-7 win-loss record after the elimination round.

Luck was on Climbs’ side as Toyota forfeited their game against no. 1 Jashel Trucking at the close of the elimination round last week.
If Toyota had played well, they might be rightful claimant of the last slot to the quarterfinals.
“Dako og epekto ang forfeit sa Toyota. Kung nidula, sila gyud ang madala maskin napilde sila,” said tournament director Dan Jaminal.
Jashel finished the elimination round undefeated, 11-0 card, followed by Desmark Corporation with 10 wins against a solitary loss.

All four of them will have a twice-to-beat advantage against their respective rivals in the quarterfinals.
To complete the cast in fifth to eighth places are GL Autoworks (6-5), Monark Equipment (5-6), Philtyres Corporation (5-6) and Climbs in that order.
