School to benefit in Baguio fun run

HUNDREDS of running enthusiasts are expected to see action in a three race distance set on June 25, hoping to help fund the needs of a public school in Baguio City.

Dubbed “Run Jaguar Run, Takbo para sa Kinabukasan,” runners will fire off at Burnham Park lake drive starting 4 a.m. with prizes and surprises awaiting the top three winners in each race category for the male and female division.

Backed by the 12 different colleges of the University of the Cordilleras (UC) hatched by the University Student Council and hosted by College of Arts and Sciences and College of Accountancy, proceeds from the fun run will help bankroll Camp 7 Elementary School's different project for the current school year .

Registration for the UC Green Run 2017 is now ongoing at the UC campus while onsite registration will also be available on race day.

Registration for the 3K category will be at P150 while the 5K run will have P300 and the 10K at P500.

On June 17, the 2017 edition of the Lingkod Kapamilya Run starts at La Trinidad Municipal grounds with registration now ongoing at ABS-CBN Baguio, 1st Rd., Quezon Hill Proper, Baguio City, Red Cross, Harrison Road and La Trinidad Municipal Grounds.

Registration for the 3K run will be at P250, P350 for the 5K and P500 for the 10K run which is inclusive of race bib and singlet.

Proceeds of the race will benefit leukemia patients in Baguio City and Benguet.

The Lingkod Kapamilya Run is an annual project that does not only promote health and wellness among the runners but also pushes for social responsibility, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among all stakeholders.
