THE Philippines’ Ceres Negros FC is looking to replicate its victory against Shan United FC at Thuwunna Stadium last January during the Champions League qualifier with another fixture today for the AFC Cup Group F.

The reigning Philippines Football League champions are returning to Shan’s home turf in Myanmar with a clear three points of the second-placed Home United of Singapore.

Home United, which is playing without suspended Yasir Hanapi, will host Boeung Ket as they seek revenge after their surprise defeat in the hands of the Cambodians who failed to register a point before their last Tuesday’s 3-2 win.

Meanwhile, Ceres FC former fitness coach Pepe Losada finally bid goodbye to the club after serving for a year.

In his post, Losada said he is thankful for the opportunity to be part of the club.

“Thank you so much, especially to LRY for his support and confidence in me as well as to coach Risto [Vidakovic] for the chance to work here. He was also thankful to all components of the management, staff, fans, and to the players, for letting me feel as a professional,” he said.

“Ceres, Bacolod, Negros and Philippines, you will always have a place inside my heart forever. Mabuhay!” he added. (HGD)
