KAPISANAN ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas (KBP) Negros Occidental Chapter dominated the two-division basketball event after a split in the first leg and captured the men’s volleyball title in the 2017 KBP-NPC Fellowship Games 2nd Leg at Bacolod Arts and Youth Sports Center on Saturday.
KBP succumbed only to Negros Press Club (NPC) in the women’s volleyball.
Armando Espina and Stanley Jordan scored in double figures in the 40 and up basketball team with 22 and 20 points while Orville Alvarado added 12 as KBP beat NPC, 82-71.
In the 40-Under, KBP’s Mark Salanga anchored his team with 25 points scoring 14 in the second half as Herbert Malata added 18 and Gerald Lamela made 14 as KBP won, 82-72.
In volleyball, KPB men defeated NPC, 25-23, 25-15 and NPC volleybelles denied a sweep by winning three sets, 18-25, 27-25, 25-22.
The fellowship games was a project of the officers of NPC headed by Renato Duran and KBP-Negros Occidental Chapter chaired by Serafin Plotria Jr. (HGD)
