COMMITTED to bolster its support for tertiary sports and promote grassroots development in the country, the Philippine Sports Commission will conduct a National Consultative Meeting for Collegiate Sports on October 17 and 18 at the Multi-Purpose Arena of PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
The meeting will be attended by representatives from more than 80 universities in the country, government officials, and athletic associations.
The consultation aims to (1) assess and discuss the issues among collegiate athletes, coaches, officials and schools; (2) discuss the current state and needed intervention program from the development of collegiate sports; and (3) explores collaborations among the collegiate athletic associations, government officials, and the PSC.
This gathering will also serve as a follow up to the Intersection Conservation with School-based Athletic Associations held in 2016. (HGD)
